1 Reason Intel Stock Could Outperform in 2027

Intel's data center and AI segment revenue jumped 59% year-over-year to $6.3 billion in Q2, the clearest datapoint behind the bull case for INTC heading into 2027. The company attributes the surge to strong demand for server processors and AI inference applications.

The forward view matters as much as the print. Intel expects industry-wide server processor shipments to grow at strong double digits through 2027, with new Xeon 6+ chips built on its 18A manufacturing process positioned to capture that demand.

Valuation is the tension. INTC trades at 47x forward earnings, a premium multiple by any standard. The counterargument rests on growth: with earnings expected to compound at 69% annualized over several years, INTC carries a PEG ratio of 0.8. A PEG below 1.0 typically signals that the growth rate more than justifies the multiple. Interpretation: the bull case depends less on today's earnings and more on whether that 69% trajectory holds, since any shortfall would make the 47x multiple look stretched quickly.

The 59% segment growth gives that forecast some near-term support, but it covers a single quarter.
