3 ETFs That Could Include Anthropic After Its IPO in October
Anthropic is expected to go public in October with a potential $2 trillion valuation, which would make it the largest IPO in history. Fast-track inclusion rules implemented after SpaceX's (SPCX) IPO could allow the AI company to enter major ETFs within days of trading.
Three funds positioned for rapid inclusion are Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ), iShares Russell 1000 Growth ETF (IWF), and First Trust U.S. Equity Opportunities ETF (FPX). The new rules enable index providers to add qualifying mega-cap companies to benchmarks before the traditional quarterly rebalance, a change designed after SPCX's debut highlighted gaps in the existing framework.
At $2 trillion, Anthropic would rank among the largest publicly traded companies globally from day one, making it a mandatory addition for market-cap-weighted growth and tech-focused ETFs. QQQ tracks the 100 largest non-financial Nasdaq stocks, while IWF follows large-cap growth names in the Russell 1000. FPX targets mid- and large-cap U.S. equities with growth characteristics.
