$5,000 in GE Vernova at Its 2024 Low Would Be Worth This Much Now

GE Vernova has surged more than 700% from its all-time low of $122.46, turning a $5,000 investment at that trough into approximately $40,000 today. The energy company, spun off from General Electric in April 2024, is riding accelerating demand in its Power and Electrification segments tied to AI infrastructure, cloud computing, and data center expansion.

The company is projecting revenue growth at a 17% compound annual rate through 2028, while EBITDA is forecast to expand at a 60% CAGR over the same period. Those projections position GEV as a direct play on the energy demands created by the AI buildout, as server farms and training clusters require massive electrification capacity.

The rally has pushed valuation to a premium 40x adjusted EBITDA, a multiple that embeds high expectations for execution on those growth targets. Analysts continue to view the stock favorably based on the structural tailwinds from AI-driven power demand, but the valuation leaves little room for disappointment.
