Big Tech Is About to Report. Nvidia Investors Should Watch One Number.

Nvidia (NVDA) investors have one number to track this week: capital expenditure at Microsoft (MSFT), Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL) and Amazon (AMZN), the GPU customers reporting earnings.

All three companies have recently raised their infrastructure spending forecasts, driven by strong AI demand. That makes the capex line in each report the clearest read-through to NVDA's chip and systems demand, more so than headline earnings or revenue.

The logic is straightforward. Rising capex from MSFT, GOOG, GOOGL and AMZN signals continued strong demand for NVDA's chips and systems. A slowdown in any of the three would be a concern for NVDA's near-term outlook. Interpretation: because all three have already lifted forecasts, the market has likely priced in higher spending, so a reaffirmed or raised guide may confirm the trend rather than surprise, while a trimmed or flat guide would stand out sharply.

NVDA does not report in this stretch, so its shares are likely to trade on customer commentary. Each prepared remark on AI infrastructure investment becomes a proxy for NVDA's order book.
