Can Strong Production at Otjikoto Mine Boost B2Gold's Growth?
B2Gold has raised its 2026 production guidance for the Otjikoto mine in Namibia to 80,000-100,000 ounces from 70,000-90,000 ounces, according to Zacks Investment Research. The revision follows second-quarter production of 23,438 ounces at the site, with the upside driven by higher mill feed grades from underground sources.
The company also approved development of the Antelope deposit at Otjikoto, which is projected to boost annual production to 110,000 ounces from 2029 through 2032. The move extends the mine's production profile and raises the output ceiling beyond current guidance levels.
BTG operates the Otjikoto mine alongside its Masbate operation in the Philippines and Fekola mine in Mali. The Namibian asset has become a focal point for growth after underground ore quality exceeded expectations in the latest quarter. The Antelope deposit approval adds a medium-term production catalyst that could partially offset natural depletion at mature assets.
