Can Strong Search and Cloud Growth Drive GOOGL's Q3 Earnings?

Alphabet (GOOGL) heads into its Q3 2026 report with Cloud as the headline number: Google Cloud revenue is projected to surge 92.3% to $29.16 billion, according to Zacks Investment Research.

That figure sits alongside a more modest but much larger base. Google Search revenue is expected to grow 15% to $65 billion. Put the two together and the projected Search figure still dwarfs Cloud in absolute dollars, even though Cloud's growth rate is roughly six times faster.

Zacks attributes both projections to AI-powered Search and Cloud businesses. Search remains the franchise anchor, with a market share of 89.94%, a level that leaves little room for share gains and puts the focus on monetization growth instead.

Zacks also notes that Alphabet has a history of beating earnings estimates. Interpretation: with a track record of beats, the bar for a positive reaction may be higher than the headline consensus suggests, and a Cloud print that merely meets a 92.3% growth expectation could read as a disappointment.

The same company trades under multiple tickers, including GOOG, GOOGL, GOOGM, and GOOGN, so positioning around the report can show up across several lines.
