Compared to Estimates, Harley-Davidson (HOG) Q3 Earnings: A Look at Key Metrics
HOG missed on both lines in Q3 2026, reporting revenue of $971.88 million, down 10% year-over-year and 8.22% below the $1.06 billion consensus. EPS landed at $0.40 against the $0.44 estimate, a 9.09% shortfall.
The revenue miss is the headline. A nearly 8.3% gap versus consensus is wide for a quarter in which the company also posted a 10% annual decline, and it points to demand pressure rather than a narrow timing issue. That reading is interpretation, but the underlying numbers support it: the key metrics showed weakness across most segments, including lower motorcycle shipments and lower retail sales in several regions.
Two items cut against the grim picture. Live Wire revenue grew 41.4%, the standout growth figure in the report. U.S. retail sales also exceeded expectations, suggesting the home market held up better than the regional softness elsewhere. Both are bright spots, though Live Wire's growth is not large enough, on the evidence supplied, to offset the broader revenue decline.
