Credo's Optical Bet: Is a $600M+ Revenue Opportunity Taking Shape?
CRDO reported first-quarter fiscal 2027 revenue of $479 million, up 114.7% year-over-year, powered by optical connectivity demand in AI infrastructure. The company projects optical revenue alone will surpass $600 million in fiscal 2027, with three distinct product lines each contributing more than $100 million.
The guidance signals CRDO's deepening penetration of AI data center buildouts, where optical solutions are displacing copper interconnects at higher speeds. MRVL and ALAB are also capturing share in the same high-speed connectivity and near-package optics market as hyperscalers upgrade network architectures to support dense AI workloads.
CRDO's revenue more than doubled, but the forward optical-only target of $600 million-plus suggests optical may represent the majority of total fiscal 2027 sales if overall growth sustains. The three-product diversification reduces single-SKU concentration risk while broadening the total addressable market within the optical category.
