Innodata vs. Nebius: Here's What Revenue Trends Tell Investors About These Artificial Intelligence Companies

Nebius (NBIS) has tripled its quarterly revenue to $582.3M in Q2 2026, up from $43.3M in Q3 2024, dwarfing the growth of Innodata (INOD), which moved from $52.2M to $92.1M over the same window.

The profitability gap runs the other way. INOD posted $14.4M in net income in Q2 2026, while NBIS booked a $190.4M net loss. Growth is funded by heavy spending on NBIS's side; INOD's expansion is slower but self-sustaining.

NBIS also carries a sector-level warning. A Gartner report cautions that 80% of neoclouds could disappear by 2030. Interpretation: if that forecast proves directionally right, NBIS's top-line momentum does not guarantee survival, and the market may demand proof that revenue converts to earnings before it rewards the growth rate.

For INOD, the revenue base is smaller, but the $14.4M profit gives it a cushion NBIS lacks. Interpretation: INOD's profile suits investors prioritizing earnings quality, while NBIS suits those willing to underwrite losses for scale.
