Is Marvell Technology Going to $1 Trillion?
Marvell Technology has surged 200% year-to-date after Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang publicly declared the company would become the next trillion-dollar business. The chip designer reported 28% year-over-year revenue growth in Q1 fiscal 2027, with Q2 guidance pointing to 35% YoY growth ahead.
CEO Matt Murphy projects accelerated growth continuing through fiscal 2027 and 2028, driven by AI infrastructure demand. The company recently launched the Teralynx T100 networking chip, positioning itself in the competitive AI data center market where custom silicon is becoming critical for hyperscalers.
The $1 trillion valuation target represents significant upside from current levels, though the timeline remains speculative. Huang's endorsement carries weight given Nvidia's dominance in AI hardware and its visibility into customer infrastructure buildouts. Marvell supplies custom AI chips and networking solutions to major cloud providers, creating direct exposure to accelerating data center spending.
AMD and Western Digital's SanDisk division also compete for the trillion-dollar milestone in the semiconductor space, suggesting multiple pathways to scale in the AI infrastructure buildout.
