Is XRP Finally a Buy?
XRP has collapsed 70% from its $3.65 52-week high and now trades near $1, down 40% year-to-date. Analyst Dominic Basulto sees the selloff as a potential entry point, specifically flagging the sub-$1 level as a contrarian buy zone.
The setup has improved materially. Ripple's SEC settlement removed a major regulatory overhang that had weighed on the token for years. The company has since launched spot XRP ETFs, giving institutional investors direct access to the asset. Ripple is also investing in blockchain infrastructure expansion and quantum-resistant technology to future-proof its network.
Basulto's call frames XRP as a high-risk, high-reward play. The 70% drawdown from the 52-week high creates asymmetric upside if Ripple's product roadmap gains traction and crypto sentiment stabilizes. However, the analyst acknowledges XRP remains highly speculative, meaning position sizing matters for risk management.
