Jensen Huang Said Nvidia Will Be the First Customer for HBM4. Here's the AI Memory Stock That Has Reportedly Locked Up 70% of Those Orders.
SK Hynix has locked up 50-70% of anticipated HBM4 orders from Nvidia through a multiyear co-development partnership announced in June. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang confirmed the company will be the primary customer for HBM4 solutions to power its next-generation Vera Rubin architecture, making SK Hynix the central supplier for the GPU maker's critical memory needs.
High-bandwidth memory has emerged as a bottleneck as AI workloads scale. The partnership positions SK Hynix as the dominant player in the HBM4 supply chain during what analysts view as a memory supercycle. The June announcement formalized a co-development arrangement that gives the South Korean chipmaker preferred-vendor status for Nvidia's most advanced AI accelerators.
Nvidia's Vera Rubin platform represents the next iteration of its data-center GPU roadmap. HBM4 delivers the bandwidth required for training and inference at scale, and Huang's explicit endorsement signals SK Hynix will capture the lion's share of revenue as hyperscalers build out AI infrastructure.
