New Era Energy & Digital Is Up by More Than 60% This Month. Here's What's Fueling the Rally.
New Era Energy & Digital (NUAI) has jumped more than 60% this month following a 20-year power purchase agreement with Luminant ET Services Company, a Vistra (VST) subsidiary. The deal secures at least 200 megawatts of power capacity and positions NUAI to negotiate data center contracts with hyperscale cloud providers.
The agreement addresses a critical bottleneck for AI infrastructure buildouts, where power availability has constrained data center expansion. NUAI now holds secured capacity to support enterprise-scale deployments in Texas, a region that has become a focal point for AI compute infrastructure.
Execution risk remains substantial. NUAI faces a multibillion-dollar funding gap to complete its Texas facility, with the initial 200-megawatt phase alone estimated at $3 billion to $4 billion. The company has not disclosed financing plans or timelines for capital deployment, leaving the path from secured power to operational revenue uncertain.
