Nvidia Just Delivered a Massive Warning to AMD and Intel Stock Investors
NVDA reported 106% revenue growth in Q2 fiscal 2027 and signaled a direct assault on the server CPU market dominated by AMD and INTC. The company's Vera CPU, built on ARM architecture, is projected to generate $20 billion in revenue by 2026 and more than double in fiscal 2028, according to the company.
The move threatens AMD and INTC's core revenue stream in the server CPU space, where both currently hold the majority of market share but are expanding at slower rates than NVDA's data center segment. ARM-based CPUs are expected to capture 90% of the server CPU market by 2029, positioning NVDA's Vera platform to eat into traditional x86 architectures that AMD and INTC rely on.
NVDA's data center business continues to drive growth, with the latest quarter showing triple-digit year-over-year expansion. The company is leveraging its AI accelerator dominance to build an integrated CPU-GPU server ecosystem, a strategy that puts pressure on competitors who lack comparable GPU portfolios.
