Prediction: Alphabet Will Report Google Cloud Revenue Growth Exceeding 100% on Oct. 28.
Alphabet is set to report Q3 2026 results on Oct. 28, and one analyst predicts Google Cloud revenue growth will exceed 100%. The call, published by The Motley Fool, puts the cloud segment at the center of the print for GOOGL, GOOG, GOOGM and GOOGN.
The analyst points to four drivers: accelerating capital expenditures, high capacity utilization, third-party capacity expansion, and growing TPU chip sales. Together, these form the thesis for a growth rate that would double the division's revenue year over year.
The bear case is also on the table. Concerns persist about the return on AI spending, and Alphabet's free cash flow is negative. Heavy capex is the engine of the cloud growth story, but it is also what pressures cash generation.
The valuation argument cuts the other way. According to the analyst, Alphabet trades at a lower valuation multiple than competitors while growing faster. That framing positions the company as a relatively cheap way to own cloud growth, though it is an analyst's view, not a confirmed result.
Interpretation: a 100%-plus print would test whether the market rewards growth despite negative free cash flow. A miss against that elevated bar could hit sentiment hard, since the prediction itself raises expectations going into Oct. 28.
