Why Box Stock Ticked Higher on Wednesday
BOX shares gained 1.18% Wednesday after the cloud content management company delivered second-quarter results in line with expectations. The company posted record revenue of $321 million, up 9% year-over-year, and adjusted earnings of $0.40 per share.
Management raised full-year revenue guidance to $1.29 billion but trimmed adjusted earnings outlook to $1.54 per share. The company attributed growth to accelerating adoption of its Enterprise Advanced plan as clients expand AI capabilities on the platform.
The mixed guidance update—higher revenue, lower profitability—suggests BOX is trading near-term margin for market share in the enterprise AI buildout. The 9% revenue growth rate marks steady expansion, while the Enterprise Advanced tier gains signal the company is capturing higher-value contracts tied to AI workloads.
