Why Sandisk Stock Soared Today

SanDisk stock jumped 11.2% today after competitor Micron reported earnings that crushed Wall Street expectations. Micron posted $25.11 per share against a consensus forecast of $20.78 and quadrupled sales to $41.5 billion. The beat sparked investor optimism that SanDisk will deliver similar upside when it reports in August.

Analysts expect SanDisk to more than double earnings to $33.72 per share. The rally reflects confidence that the memory and storage sector is riding a sustained AI-fueled demand wave. Both companies have secured long-term contracts with customers, locking in elevated profit margins as hyperscalers and enterprise buyers stockpile capacity for AI workloads.

Micron's blowout quarter validates the thesis that memory pricing has stabilized and volume growth is accelerating. SanDisk shares are now pricing in expectations that the company will match or exceed its own consensus when it releases results next month.
