Why Shares of United States Antimony Are Soaring This Week
United States Antimony (UAMY) jumped 12.2% from last Friday through early July 2nd after completing its first Q2 2026 shipments under a $245 million Defense Logistics Agency contract. The company delivered approximately 82,000 pounds of antimony metal ingots, generating $2.6 million in revenue from the initial shipment.
U.S. Antimony has received $57.3 million in total orders to date under the DLA agreement. As the only major domestic antimony smelter operating in the United States, the company occupies a strategic position in the defense supply chain for this critical mineral used in military applications and flame retardants.
The DLA contract provides visible revenue over the next several years, offering rare top-line visibility for the small-cap miner. However, the company remains unprofitable despite the large defense order, meaning execution on margins and operating efficiency will determine whether the contract translates into a path to profitability.
