Will Auvelity Continue to Aid Axsome's Top-Line Growth in Q3?

Axsome Therapeutics (AXSM) posted first-half 2026 Auvelity sales of $333 million, up 54.2% year-over-year, cementing the drug as the company's primary growth engine heading into Q3.

Auvelity is also widening its addressable market. The FDA has approved the drug for Alzheimer's agitation treatment, and AXSM is running a phase III smoking cessation study. Both moves extend the drug's reach beyond its existing use, giving the revenue line additional runway.

Other products are contributing too. Sunosi generated $66.5 million in sales, while the newly launched Symbravo brought in $6.3 million. Interpretation: Symbravo's early contribution is small relative to Auvelity's $333 million, so it is a launch to track rather than a needle-mover for now. Auvelity remains the dominant driver of the top line.

Competition is the stated risk. AXSM operates in the CNS and migraine markets, both described as intensely competitive. Interpretation: the migraine launch of Symbravo faces the steepest test, since a crowded field could slow its ramp from the current $6.3 million base.
